Verity
Verity is a free browser horror game built on a full voxel sandbox: mine, craft and build by day, then try to survive the night while a talking AI watches. Unlike a scripted jumpscare game, Verity reacts to what you type and to what you do — you can ask it for help, ignore it, or provoke it, and its mood changes how the chase plays out. Every session generates a fresh world, so no two adventures are the same.
How to play Verity
- Click the game screen to lock the mouse, then move with WASD and look with the mouse.
- Punch trees and dirt to gather wood and stone, then craft tools from the inventory bar.
- Press T (or Enter) at any time to type a message to Verity and listen to its spoken reply.
- Build a shelter before nightfall — light keeps the corrupted states of Verity at a distance.
- Survive as many nights as you can; the AI becomes more hostile the longer you stay.
Controls
WASD to Move, MOUSE to Look, LEFT CLICK to Mine, RIGHT CLICK to Place block, T / ENTER to Chat with Verity.
Tips & strategy
- Craft a torch early: light is your cheapest defence when Verity shifts to its stalker state.
- Watch the colour of Verity’s eyes — each colour maps to one of its five emotional states.
- Answering politely keeps Verity in a helpful mood, but a hostile chat can trigger a hunt.
- Tunnel a small base into a hillside instead of building in the open; it is much easier to defend.

Is Verity really powered by AI?
Yes. Verity uses a language model to generate its spoken replies, which is why it can answer almost any question you type rather than picking from fixed lines.
Does Verity work on mobile?
Yes. Touch controls appear automatically on phones and tablets: a virtual stick to move and drag-to-look on the right side of the screen.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Verity runs entirely in your browser, including the 3D world and the voice engine, so there is nothing to install.
