How to make Verity run smoothly on a low-end PC or phone

Published 2026-09-20

Verity renders a full 3D voxel world plus a talking AI, all in the browser — no install. That is impressive, but it does ask more of your device than a simple arcade game. If it stutters, these are the things that help most.

1. Close other heavy tabs

Browsers share memory and GPU between tabs. A video streaming in the background or a dozen open tabs will cost you frame rate. Close them before playing — this is usually the single biggest improvement on older machines.

2. Use a modern browser and enable hardware acceleration

Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all run Verity, but older versions render WebGL more slowly. Update your browser, and make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in its settings so the game uses your GPU instead of the CPU.

3. Prefer desktop controls when you can

The game runs on phones, but a laptop or desktop with a keyboard and mouse will always give you a steadier frame rate and finer control. On mobile, close background apps and switch off low-power mode while you play.

4. Reduce what is on screen

5. Give it a moment to load

On first launch, the game downloads its 3D world code and the voice engine. The very first load is the slowest one; after that your browser caches the files and startup is much faster. If speech is the only thing lagging, the voice model finishes downloading in the background while you play.

If it still stutters

Try a different device to confirm whether the issue is the machine or the browser. A game this ambitious for a no-download title is worth a settings check before you give up on it. Then head to Verity and see the difference.
